Diversity in the Classroom

I actively promote diverse learning experiences in the courses that I instruct. Diversity has multiple dimensions in the classroom, including diversity in learning styles, socioeconomic backgrounds, cultural affiliations, sexual orientations, and gender identities. As an instructor, I actively promote a safe classroom environment by acknowledging and embracing this diversity among students and instructors. Everyone in the classroom benefits from exposure to different perspectives and backgrounds that are expressed throughout the semester.
