American Ornithologists’ Society

I currently represent the American Ornithologists’ Society (AOS) as chair of the Student Affairs Committee (SAC). As SAC chair, I help to manage a group of student volunteers to carry out student-oriented activities during and inbetween ornithology conferences, including the Student Quiz Bowl, the Student-Professional Dinner, and various workshops.

In addition to my role as chair of the SAC, I am involved with the AOS as an inaugural member of the AOS Student Systematics Group, which prepares submissions to revise avian taxonomy in the NACC jurisdiction. I am part of the AOS Membership Committee, which aims to improve and sustain membership in the AOS.  I am also a member of the AOS Collections Committee, which promotes the welfare of ornithological collections in North America.
